Last updated October 6, 2026. These terms cover the WordGuard iPhone app and https://wordguard.co.
The service
WordGuard provides Screen Time shielding and short faith pauses that you configure. Apple’s operating system decides what a shield can do. WordGuard cannot promise that a shield will open the app directly, or that a protected app can never be reached through an Apple setting you change yourself.
Not professional care
Scripture, prayer, gratitude, stillness, and reflection are spiritual practices inside the app. They are not medical care, mental health treatment, crisis support, or a claim to speak for God. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact local emergency services.
Your choices
You choose the apps to protect and the pause style. You are responsible for the Screen Time permission on your iPhone. A pause that has started is designed not to be skipped.
WordGuard+
Optional subscriptions are sold by Apple at the prices shown in the app: $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year. The annual plan may include a 7-day free trial. Payment, renewal, and cancellation are handled by your Apple ID. Restore purchases from the app if you reinstall or change phones. Taxes may apply.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse WordGuard to interfere with someone else’s device without their authority, or to break Apple’s Family Controls rules. The first release is for an individual guarding their own phone.
Availability
The app and this website may change, pause, or stop. Features described as later releases are not part of the product until they ship.
